I am passionate about

Founding member and President of the Association of the Young Promoters of the Local Initiatives. Since 2007, I am in charge of Youth and Development Program of the NGO DIVUTEC. I am committed to defending and promoting the rights of youth, encourage youth involvement in democratic bodies through making appropriate roles and actions of young and fighting for the socio-economic situation of youth marginalization. I conducted brainstorming sessions and awareness campaigns to sensitize the youth of Guinea-Bissau on the need for social mobilization for behaviour change, negative attitudes and practices.

My Projects

I am among the youth who fought for the rights to promote girls’ education and the fight against female circumcision in Guinea Bissau showing the negative effects of circumcision on a woman’s health and providing educational aspects to replace the knife by learning income-generating occupations. This activity has succeeded in increasing the enrolment of girls in the regions. Currently I am the Project Sponsor Support to vocational training and promotion of self-employment among youth in Guinea-Bissau. Currently, the NGO-DIVUTEC under the Program and Youth Development is insisting on quality education, professional and accessible for all by implementing the project to support the professional training and fostering self-employment in Guinea-Bissau. This project aims to support the reduction of illegal immigration and its harmful consequences through support to training and promoting self-employment for young people in situations of marginalization in eastern Guinea-Bissau (in the regions of Bafata and Gabu) zone really marked by migration, the juvenile delinquency and prostitution, and where rates of STI / AIDS does not cease to increase, especially within the among the youth.
